Shak Surf Camp and Spanish School

Are you looking for a great beach to pratice surfing and learn Spanish?  If so, the Surf Shak Spanish and Surf Camp is for you!  We are offering package deals next year with 3 different dates to choose from.  The Camp is designed for beginner to intermediate surfers  that will spen a week learning and plaiyng in the ocean.  With personal surf instruction and Spanish lessons you are guaranteed to improve your skills in a short period of time.  We’ve teamed up with some local businesses in Canoa to provide a full package including transportation, lodging and meals.

We will put you up at the charming Pais Libre Hostal with private rooms equiped with private bathrooms.  The staff is amazing and they will provide a great local breakfast to start your day.  From there we will meet in the morning at the Surf Shak to announce the day’s itinerary and split up the group, 1/2 of the class will go into the water with their personal surf instructor and 1/2 of the class will start the daily Spanish lesson.  We will meet up for lunch at the Surf Shak and then disperse for an afternoon siesta or free time.  The group will meet up again in the evening for their respective Spanish or surf lesson at sunset.

We eat dinner together as a group and try some of the local dishes at different restaurants around town, and discuss the days events and set the itinerary for the following day.  The rest of the evening is left for you to enjoy the nightlife in Canoa.

At the end of the week we will host a Surf Competition amongst the class and local surfers with some great prizes for the winners.  After the competition we will have a slide show of the past week’s camp and a “little” going away party.
